Efi and Asaf
He might do his own business one day
Give it a shot. With no money in their pockets
They still survive. And smile. Why not. Give it a shot. A miracle might happen
Hadassah and her Jewish friends, young, before the army
Singing a song of remembrance for a lost loved one
Lost in this country’s constant war
They came to see the meteor showers
Lights across the desert sky to make a wish
Israelites… all are spiritual
All the days of their lives
They are seeking Him
Everywhere
I came to see the sands and rocks and depths
Of Mizpe Ramon
And to rest in the scorching August heat, alone
Why Israel? she asked
What is in you that is so drawn to what is here?
In the end no meteor showers could be seen
They lay on watch for them all night
To make a wish
In vain
And so they still seek Him
and sing another song
For a lost loved one, commemorating this country’s constant war
And the stars still keep silent
But the sands and rocks cry out… as every desert emptiness
Waiting for another miracle to happen
In Mizpe Ramon
